Are you in love with high contrast design as much as I am? I loved using it in this week's card made with the free design from the Silhouette Design Store.
There is a free design available every week in the Silhouette Design Store, free to anyone with a free, or subscription account. Files are in the STUDIO file format, usable only with the Silhouette Design software (also free to download). You can use this software in conjunction with the Silhouette machines (Cameo, Portrait, Curio etc.), but you can still play, even before you purchase a machine.
I like to call this scheme black and white with a 'pop' [of colour].
The flower image is made by creating an external offset, and adhering seven copies directly on top of one another with a piece of acetate sealed in the central section. The white part is cut in its original state and added on top.
Now the central part forms a well encompassing a TINY shaker filled with black iridescent (or AB, Aurora Boreal) seed beads, hence why all the layers are required!
The sentiment writing is made using a white sketch pen in the pen holder (in place of the cutting blade) with one of the design store fonts and the heart element from a file, both available in the design store and listed below. The banner shape is a modified rectangle and created in the software.
And there we have it! Black and White with a Pop AND a shake (noisy card)!
